Organization Description:
The YES project emerged from the 2013 Youth Esteem Strategy for Penticton funded through the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen and the United Way of the Central and South Okanagan Similkameen. YES is designed to give youth a stronger voice in Penticton, support them to live healthy, productive lives, and help to make Penticton a more youth-friendly city. The YES project aims to accomplish this in three ways:
1) Fundraise and plan for a youth resource centre in Penticton
2) Establish free and fun activities for Penticton youth all year long
3) Create a youth-driven public awareness campaign.

This initiative is designed to support youth in Penticton to feel good about themselves through building and maintain positive self-esteem and working to ensure a healthy and thriving youth population within our city.

The YES Project is committed to creating positive change for Penticton youth by working side-by-side with young people who want to make a difference. YES … youth finally have #Avoice4once!
